Glomora’s Story: About three years ago, I fell into a phase where several things started coming together. I was playing a lot of Skyrim and had for the first time ever embarked on the Dawnguard quest storyline. I had also started my first DMing my first Dungeons and Dragons campaign, the one that ended up being the premise for my first book, Tales of the Bloodstalker: Blackmane’s Chest. And I had written a story. A story about a vampire who regretted being a creature of the night and wished to regain his humanity. Though his name went through several revisions, this character ended up being Veran Bloodstalker, the main protagonist for many of my books.
At this point in my life, I had been struggling as a writer, the one thing I had always wanted to be since I was ten years old. I went to college and got my bachelors in English literature with a minor in Creative Writing, but years after graduating, I didn’t really have anything to show for it other than a flash drive poorly organized with drafts of stories in various genres. I knew that one day I wanted to write an epic fantasy with elves and dragons, much like I discovered in Christopher Paolini’s Eragon that I was given as a Christmas present when I was ten-years old. But part of me thought writing such literature wasn’t “posh” enough, and so I put aspirations for such a story to the side.
But when I started writing about Veran, and fed by my fantasy obsessions with Skyrim and DnD, I knew I needed to create a world filled with monsters, wonders, magic, and swords. So I created Glomora. And I’m very happy to welcome you to this world.
